It's summer and I haven't had time to make many blog posts.   Here's more undersized cards to look at.

Inchies and Quisps

Along with the classic LTC's, I also make many undersized cards.

 

The top section is my Epcot Inchies.  When the park opened each pavilion had an icon.

The middle is the stamps from my 3/14/15 Pi Day event.

The bottom is my Harry Potter Runes Inchies. 0-9.

1949 Walter Winchell
Walter Winchell was a top gossip reporter, whose newspaper column and radio show could make or break a celebrity.

1949 Johnnie Ray
Partially deaf singer, whose song Cry was a number-one hit. Ray actually cried in performing the song. He was a top star in 1949 and 1950 with his other hit songs The Little White Cloud that Cried and Walking in the Rain.

1955 Elvis Presley
Singer Elvis Presley became a national phenomenon with such number-one hit songs as Heartbreak Hotel, Don't Be Cruel and Hound Dog.

1958 Lebanon
U.S. President Eisenhower ordered U.S. Marines into Lebanon at the request of Lebanese President Chamoun to help stop riots that were occurring in the country. Eisenhower authorized Operation Blue Bat on July 15, 1958

1959 Mafia
Mafia leaders met in upstate New York to get better organized.

1963 Pope Paul
Pope Paul VI was pope of the Catholic Church from 1963 to 1978. He followed Pope John and completed the implementation of the goals of the Second Vatican Council. He became the first pope to visit six continents, but he also known to be an indecisive leader. His views were important to the world's Catholics.

Man on the Moon

I have created three cards using this moon-on-black background.  The first one was my E.T. card. I had plenty of extra moons already printed so I used them for a Moon Landing card.  The 'black' paper is faded and is a nice dark purple.

It would only take a quick glance at my profile to notice that I have dozens of Doctor Who LTC's. I have several themed series and will dedicate one week each month to Doctor Who cards.
This first set is the Companions.  I wanted to plant a Doctor Who series and first picked all 11 (now 13) 'Faces' but I had many stamps donated and I only needed to carve about half. With the Companions I carved all of them myself and made cards.
This is the first group of companions that I carved.  Once I saw how well they came out I carved the others.

Card size is 3.5x5 and folded.   Stamped off-center so that the fold is next to the feather.  The feathers came from young bantam chickens.
