This card has four layers of paper.  The white background, a strip of blue foam on each side, red paper covering one strip of foam, and the colored and cut out stamp.  Eponine has darker skin then what's shown in this image.

I carved two versions of this stamp.   2.5x3.5" and 3.5x5".
This was one of my first cards that I colored with markers.

Not all those who wander are lost

Name:     "A light from the shadows shall spring;"

This swap was based on the poem from the Lord of the Rings:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

I picked "A light from the shadows shall spring;" and carved a lighthouse. The beam of light is Glow-in-the-Dark powder that another LTC maker sent to me.  This is another card that uses the "Night Sky" purple paper.

Carved for my long-distance hiking trails swap.
The stamp was inked in two colors. It was then cut out and glued onto a printed map background.

A Boy And His Atom

Several months ago I had planned on joining the Guinness World Records swap and make a card for the microscopic movie "A Boy And His Atom".   I couldn't figure out how to make the card look right so I gave up.

I finally came up with another idea.  First I used a "Bind-it-All" like machine to make a long film strip.  2.5"x10"

Then I stamped several "frames" onto the paper to see how it looked.

The final card will be 2.5"x7" and only have the first 6 frames.
I might make another scene from the movie.

National Parks LTC

I have made very few multi-layer stamps. This one was extremely hard to line up because of the holes in the tree.
  The first stamp is the orange & brown ink.  Then I carefully line up the smaller green stamp using the point on the left side just below the tree.   I was able to get about half of the stamping to come out usable.
